TROUBLESHOOTING

LINKING TO THE APP

ISSUE: Having trouble linking my app-compatible product to the Skullcandy App  
SOLUTION

FOR IPHONES
 
  • To use the Skullcandy App, you want to make sure you pair your app compatible Skullcandy product using the same pairing method you would use for streaming audio or taking calls. On your mobile device’s Bluetooth list, select your Skullcandy product’s name. If you see your product’s name followed by “-LE” this is for Tile. It will not allow for audio and calls over this connection, and similarly is not the correct Bluetooth connection for the Skullcandy App. If you do not see only your product’s name in your device’s Bluetooth pairing list, please complete a clear paired device reset. 
  • First, make sure the product is on and paired with your phone.
  • Please make sure you have enabled Bluetooth permissions in the app. If you have declined Bluetooth permissions you may have to go into the app settings and re-enable. With Bluetooth turned on and your product connected to your phone, you should be able to link to the Skullcandy App.  
FOR ANDROIDS
 
  • First, make sure the product is on and paired with your phone.
  • Please make sure you have enabled Bluetooth and location permissions for the app. If you have declined, for example, location permissions you may have to go into the app settings and re-enable. With location permissions enabled, Bluetooth turned on, and your product connected to your phone, you should be able to link to the Skullcandy App.   
  • Location services are required by Android to discover Bluetooth devices. Please make sure you have granted location permissions for the Skullcandy App to work properly. We are not tracking your location and do not store location data via the Skullcandy App.  
FOR ALL DEVICES

To use the Skullcandy App, you want to make sure you pair your app compatible Skullcandy product using the same pairing method you would use for streaming audio or taking calls. BATTERY LEVEL DETECTION

ISSUE: The Skullcandy app is not showing the same battery life for my product that my INDY ANC, INDY EVO, INDY FUEL OR PUSH ULTRA is showing.   
SOLUTION:

The Skullcandy App periodically checks the battery status of your primary earbud. The primary earbud is determined by which earbud you pull out of the charging case per usage, so the primary earbud can switch between right and left earbud. This means at times, the Skullcandy App will not read the precise battery levels of your earbuds depending on which earbud battery level the app reads and how the user uses their earbuds, i.e. solo bud use only drains one earbud so a pair of earbuds might have a significant difference in battery level per earbud. 
ISSUE: The Skullcandy app is not showing the same battery life of my product that my CRUSHER ANC OR CRUSHER EVO.
SOLUTION: 

The Skullcandy App periodically checks the battery status of your headphones. This means at times, the Skullcandy App will not read the precise battery level of your headphones.

WHAT PRODUCTS ARE COMPATIBLE WITH THE SKULLCANDY APP? 
 
  • Currently, the Skullcandy App supports:

However, even if you cannot use the app for sound profiles and registration, all customers can explore the Skullcandy brand, get support, and learn more about our technology partners, like TileTM, through the Skullcandy App. 
WILL THE APP WORK ON A TABLET OR LAPTOP?   
 
  • The Skullcandy app is only supported on mobile devices not including laptops or tablets at this time. We are exploring expanding our device coverage. 

IN-APP FEATURES

WHAT SKULLCANDY PRODUCTS HAVE PERSONAL SOUND?  
 
  • For Indy Evo, Indy Fuel and Push Ultra we are limited on what we can do in the Skullcandy application due to the product's limitation. As a way to alleviate this problem, we display the three Preset EQ Modes (Music, Podcast, Movie Modes)  including which one you are actively using and instructions to cycle through the Preset EQ Modes. 
***Please note: Personal Sound is currently available on the Crusher ANC, Crusher Evo, and Indy ANC products. We offer that feature on the Indy Fuel, Indy Evo, or Push Ultra. ***
